QBE Re announces changes to leadership in the US

QBE Re is announcing a change to the leadership of its US business.

Tim Barber has been appointed Interim Head of US Treaty. He will be based in New York and be responsible for all of QBE Re’s reinsurance business in North America, reporting to Steve Postlewhite, Global Managing Director of QBE Re. 

Chris Larson, Head of US Treaty, is stepping down from the role for personal reasons and will leave QBE over the course of the next six months.

Steve Postlewhite, Managing Director, QBE Re, said:

“I am delighted that Tim Barber will lead our US treaty team. Tim is a highly experienced operator and will do a fantastic job continuing to develop our treaty business in North America. We continue to see considerable opportunity and remain ambitious with our growth plans for our global business.
